Zhang Yao’en, style name Rucheng, was a landscape painter in Hangzhou. He did landscapes mostly in the style of the Wen family but also imitated Wu Zhen (1280-1354) of the Yuan dynasty. This nice fan painting reflects the powerful ink style of Wu Zhen
